Information for patients
Is this your first visit here for an examination or do you have any questions about our services? We are happy to help!
All our staff speak English. We can also arrange an interpreter if required.
Here is some other important information:
Many of the services offered at Döbling Outpatient Center are included in the direct billing agreements with Austrian social insurance providers, and covered by compulsory insurance, which means they are largely free of charge for patients. These services are available on presentation of your e-card and in some cases a doctor’s referral.
If you are not sure whether an examination which has been recommended for you requires a referral from your doctor or not, please enquire by phone in advance.
If you do not have standard compulsory medical insurance, you may of course use any of these services on a private self-pay basis.
For any questions on what is covered by your insurance provider, any referral needed or the costs for self-pay patients – and of course to make an appointment – do give us a call on:
T: +43 1 360 66-5000
Have you been referred to us by your doctor for a specific examination, and do you have any questions about this? We are happy to help. To ensure that enough time can be scheduled for your individual examination, please call as soon as possible to make an appointment on:
T: +43 1 360 66-5000
If you prefer to dial direct you can find the relevant phone numbers on the webpage for each outpatient center.
For laboratory diagnostics you do not need to make an appointment – just come to the Institute for Laboratory Diagnostics during opening hours.
Test results and other medical documents are subject to strict data protection requirements and may only be collected by someone else if the patient has given written consent.
Döbling Outpatient Center is only permitted to give the relevant documents to the authorized person on presentation of this consent, together with an official photographic proof of identity (e.g. driver’s license, ID card, passport).
Our charming cafeteria is located in the foyer of the main building. Patients and visitors are welcome here and there is a tempting range of specialty coffees and teas, home-made pastries and fresh snacks to choose from.
Opening hours
- Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 9:00 a.m. – 6.00 p.m.
Döbling Outpatient Center is located in the heart of Vienna’s 19th district, and is easily accessible by public transport. If you are traveling by car there is a parking garage opposite the outpatient center.
You can find further information and a map here.
For people with special requirements, Döbling Outpatient Center offers wheelchair-accessible entrances and treatment rooms, as well as wide corridors. There are also several lifts and signs that are easy to read so that we can ensure a problem-free and comfortable stay, during which you are able to move around independently.
Most outpatient centers are on the ground floor, where there are also three clearly-marked bathrooms with disabled access. For parents with children there is also a baby-changing table in these disabled toilets.
Tram line D (Rampengasse stop) has low-floor doors allowing step-free access to the Döbling Outpatient Center.
Parking spaces for the disabled are available between entrance A and entrance B, the main entrance to the hospital. The parking garage at Heiligenstädterstraße 46-48 – directly opposite – offers step-free access to the Doctors’ Office Center (on the first and fourth floors), the Private Medical Center (5th floor), the Institute for Physical Medicine (2nd floor) and the NEST Pediatric Center (ground floor).
We are committed to protecting our patients’ privacy. For this reason we do not allow photography or filming within the Döbling Outpatient Center. This measure also serves to protect the personal rights of all individuals in the outpatient center.
Media representatives are requested to contact the Director’s office or Corporate Communications office in advance.
